Code of Conduct

It is a matter of course for teachers and learners:

  • To create the prerequisites for an open and constructive discussion through mutual appreciation and polite interaction with one another.
  • Not to discriminate against anyone based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical disability, age, cultural origin, religious affiliation, or worldview.
  • To always actively intervene in the event of actions against these principles.
  • To be open to reasoned criticism.
  • To refrain from any form of verbal or sexual harassment.

This is binding for everyone involved – students, lecturers, and the organizing team.

 

Do you feel that someone is violating the Code of Conduct? Are you being discriminated against in any way, whether regarding gender, faith, cultural origin, or other points listed in the CoC? Or do you have ideas on how equal opportunities can be improved at the university?

If you don't want to seek a conversation alone and would like support, you are also welcome to contact us. We are happy to mediate and, if needed, accompany you.

Department Women's Representatives:

Although the position is officially called Women's Representative, a more accurate term would be Equal Opportunity Officer. You can reach out here regardless of your gender.

You do not necessarily have to contact the Women's Representative of your own department. We understand that it can be a hurdle to confide in someone if you still have exams in that specific subject. Therefore, you are also welcome to reach out to a Women's Representative from another department.
